At ZIC, safety is at the core of everything we do. In honor of Global Safety Day, celebrated annually on April 28th, we are proud to share our ongoing dedication to promoting safety and well-being across all our key stakeholders: contractors, employees, and local communities.
Partnering for Safety
One of the cornerstones of our safety initiatives is our partnership with Apave Côte d’Ivoire, a global leader in safety training. Through this collaboration, we have implemented comprehensive safety training programs aimed at enhancing awareness and fostering a culture of safety among our stakeholders.
Empowering Our Workforce
Our commitment to safety extends to our employees and contractors. On April 29th, we conducted a series of impactful sessions, including:
- Malaria and road safety awareness sessions with our EPC contractor.
- First aid, rescue, fire extinguishers training, and malaria awareness for our employees.
Engaging with Local Communities
We understand that safety is not limited to our workplace but extends to the communities in which we operate. In line with this belief, we organized on April 30th, road safety awareness sessions with pupils from three local schools: Akoupe Zeudji, Allokoi, and Palmafrique V2. These sessions saw an impressive turnout of over 780 participants, underscoring our commitment to promoting safety beyond our organization.
